Aron Oxetane OXT 610 - Introduction
3-Ethyl-3-((3-(triethoxysilyl)propoxy)methyl)oxetane is an organic compound with the formula C12H26O3Si and a structure containing a heteroalkylene oxide ring (heterocyclobutane ring), as well as an ethyl group and a silicon group containing three ethoxy groups.
Nature:
3-Ethyl-3-((3-(triethoxysilyl)propoxy)methyl)oxetane is a colorless to yellow liquid with low volatility and low vapor pressure. It is relatively stable at room temperature and remains relatively stable under acidic and alkaline conditions.
Use:
3-Ethyl-3-((3-(triethoxysilyl)propoxy)methyl)oxetane are widely used as interfacial modifiers, adhesives and crosslinking agents between polymers and inorganic materials. Because it contains organic groups and silicon groups, it can form a strong interface between organic and inorganic substances, and improve the adhesion, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the material.
Preparation Method:
3-Ethyl-3-((3-(triethoxysilyl)propoxy)methyl)oxetane are generally prepared by reacting triethoxysilyl propyl halide with 3-epoxypropanol under alkaline conditions.
Safety Information:
3-Ethyl-3-((3-(triethoxysilyl)propoxy)methyl)oxetane has limited safety evaluation, but it is generally considered to be low toxic, but may be irritating to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes during use, and ensure good ventilation. In case of accidental contact, flush with plenty of water and seek medical help. In addition, avoid contact with strong oxidants and acidic substances to prevent dangerous reactions.
